The people who work at Cline give back to the places where we work, live and play. Our Community Relations Committee meets every month to review our community activities in Greenville and Charleston. We encourage all of our associates to support a charitable activity, to support employee development and leadership training.
Scott Cline, our President, leads by example, using his plane for Angel Flights. Angel Flight is a non-profit organization created by pilots who believe in volunteerism. These pilots provide free air transportation for any legitimate, charitable, medically related need. They also served people who are financially unable to arrange flights or are in a time-critical, non-emergency situation due to a medical condition.
Years ago, a K9 officer from Travelers Rest walked into Counter Sales, looking for some hose to train his new dog. That initial encounter turned into ongoing support for other units and members of the Greenville Sheriff’s office, for whom Cline has supplied training hose for over a decade.
We raise funds for the Connie Maxwell Children’s Home every year, to make sure these orphans have a better start. We also sponsor the Shrine Circus every year, to help meet the health needs of children in critical condition.
Our holiday tradition includes Cline associates contributing their own time and money every Christmas, to make a happier holiday for an entire family (some years it’s several families!). The people who work at Cline love contributing, shopping, wrapping and delivering a merry Christmas, to share their joy and good fortune with those in need of a helping hand.
We sponsor anti-drug and underage drinking ads on local radio stations one week a year.
We’re interested in community work that supports education, health, children, families, veterans and the homeless. Depending on the cause, we can support it as a company or on an individual basis, enlisting Cline customers and vendors if necessary.
